Angela Zimmann earns endorsement from Communications Workers of America

Perrysburg,OH– Angela Zimmann, Democratic candidate forOhio’s newly competitive Fifth U.S. Congressional District, received an endorsement from the Communications Workers of America (CWA) Monday.

Zimmann, who will face Republican incumbent Representative Bob Latta on the November ballot, said she is pleased to receive the support of CWA. “It is an honor to be recognized by the Communications Workers of America, a union that values the hardworking families in our communities.”

Representative Latta is a member of the Subcommittee on Communications and Technology.

The CWA is the world’s largest telecommunications union, representing 700,000 workers in approximately 10,000 communities throughoutNorth America.

Bob Hull, President of CWA Local4319 inToledosaid of Zimmann’s endorsement, “I am excited about the candidacy of Angela Zimmann. She truly believes in the American Dream and supporting working people.”

The latest in a growing list of organizations endorsing Zimmann, the CWA endorsement follows several other national endorsements, including the Women’s Campaign Fund, Democracy forAmerica, the National Education Association, and the Sierra Club.

Zimmann has also received endorsements locally from numerous labor, education, and grassroots organizations.

Zimmann received a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from theUniversityofToledoand graduated from the Lutheran Theological Seminary atGettysburgbefore earning her Ph.D. fromBowling   GreenStateUniversity. Zimmann currently lives inHolland,OHwith her husband, Dr. Martin Zimmann, and their two children.
