This past year, there was a small glimmer of hope that so-called Right to Work legislation had been tabled here in Ohio, possibly indefinitely. Perhaps our legislators were still stinging from the big-time rebuke the voters in this state handed them when we voted down Senate Bill 5 in a state-wide referendum.
But some folks just can’t take “No” for an answer, and now, like the proverbial bad penny, they’re back.
On the local evening news, it was recently reported that the people behind the push to bring RTW to Ohio have gathered enough signatures to have the issue placed on the 2014 ballot. Since they couldn’t get the OhioState Legislature to do their dirty work, they hope to get the voters to do it by adding “Right to Work” language to our state’s constitution.
